A huge summit wave put a dozen of climbers on Dhaulagiri summit last week - including Ivan Vallejo who entered the prestigious list of all 14, 8000ers summited. Edurne bagged number 10 and Gerlinde number 11. Details are also expected on a Babanov/Totmjanin summit. Ueli Steck and Simon Anthamatten completed a first ascent of Tengkampoche (6500m) north face, and from Brazil a video of the Makalu chopper crash arrived.

The Everest Olympic torch soap opera continues to surprise with increasingly surreal episodes. Not the least funny is the worst story ExWeb has researched yet; about China's organ transplant business.
